The Difference Between Hyperopia and Presbyopia
1. Different Nature
Hyperopia (Farsightedness): The eyeball is relatively short, and light focuses behind the retina. Both distance and near vision may be blurry; it is usually present from childhood.
Presbyopia (Aging sight): The lens hardens with age, and accommodation decreases.Distance vision is normal, only near vision is blurry, and it occurs in middle-aged and older people.

2. Age of Onset
- Hyperopia:Congenital, appears in children or teenagers.
- Presbyopia:Usually appears gradually after the age of 40.
3. Symptoms
- Hyperopia:Possible blurry distance vision, easy blurriness and fatigue when looking close.
- Presbyopia:Clear distance vision, blurry and difficult near vision.
4. Lens Principle
Both use convex lenses, but for different purposes:
- Hyperopia: Corrects the refractive error of the eye.
- Presbyopia: Only assists near vision.
5. Simple Summary
- Hyperopia = structural problem of the eye
- Presbyopia = loss of near focus due to aging
